Guess who got to see a screening....[bouncy bouncy]
Guess who got to see the first (very secret and high security screening) of the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? Me! Ooo it's so good. The special effects weren't done yet, but still totally worth it! :D

That's fantastic! *am envious*

I read on the Leaky Cauldron that Snape wasn't as angry as he was in the book (my favourite part), and that Snape warned Harry to be quiet - giving the impression the he was on Harry's side.

What are your thoughts?

This is Annie aka [info]roedhunt btw. *g*

I sort of agree. I remember that particular scene in the book being more poignant, and I imagined Snape having a more violent reaction to be called a coward. We filled out surveys at the end and I mentioned that change. To me that scene made the book's title, instead it came out as an after thought. However, it's important to note that the special effects weren't finished int hat scene at all, and it was kind of distracting to see sets in the background and lights hanging down over them. :)

Hopefully, the special effects will make a difference. It's just that there are a few scenes in the other movies that I imagined Snape to be a hell of a lot angrier. Of course it's probably the director's fault.

t was kind of distracting to see sets in the background and lights hanging down over them. :)

Really? Oh man, you really did see the rough draft! Do you think - now that they have the extra time - that they will change parts of the movie judging by the audience's comments?

I think they might change some things. Otherwise why ask things like what scenes we found confusing, or what scenes we disliked? They even had a focus group at the end, and I'm sure they're following the same pattern in other cities.
There was only one thing that I seriously disliked, that was a change from the book. In my opinion it showed a serious lack of knowledge of Harry's character. I sincerely hope they change that last bit back to the way it was in the book.

that was a change from the book...it showed a serious lack of knowledge of Harry's character.

Really? Because of his anger? Or his suspicion of Draco?
